Located in Cape Broyle, Newfoundland, on the Avalon Peninsula, the design of the new community centre repurposes the existing community hall and creates a larger space for the community with an addition.

As the design of this building focuses on the community, it is intended for both social activities and town council activities. The existing building is serves as a large Community Room with a stage for hosting community gatherings and events such as bingo. The addition includes the Town Council Chamber, Town Council Office, and services such as Kitchenette, Washrooms, and Storage.

On the outside, a large deck provides outdoor space with a view overlooking the bay that allows for social events at the community centre to utilize both indoor and outdoor space.

While the existing building's form is typical of a community building found in smaller towns across Newfoundland, the design modernizes it by contrasting its form with those of the new additions, which are rooted in traditional Newfoundland forms typical of outbuildings found in areas such as Cape Broyle.
